pikes peak cog Rrailway

Tuesday August 11, 2009

Here are some of my images I took with family on the Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak. Most of these are just the interior of the Cog car, but I have more mountain tops and outlying peaks on my Flickr page.
It should be noted when at the top at 9am it was 33 degrees F with a windchill of 18 degrees F. A wee bit chilly up there, but still worth it.
We could see mountain peaks in the state of New Mexico. On a clear day one can see 4 states: Kansas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Wyoming.
Just breathtaking up there.
I think I want to take a trip up there for every season.
Or train to hike up the mountain and then take the Cog down.
