I love Steven Alan. So flirty and feminine, yet so simple, clean, and elegant.
The first set of images are pulled from the Spring Collection and the last three are pulled from the Resort Collection. I especially love the short-haired model's make-up, a strong brow with subtle pink hues. I dont really wear make-up often, but looking natural, wearing make-up so it looks like you're not wearing make-up, is really the way to go.

I recently bought a pair of spiffy Danner boots. Absolutely love them. I'm even thinking of getting a second, slightly different pair. They are casual, yet durable boots I can wear to work, transition to hiking in Colorado's backcountry, and, of course, work well with most of my skirts and dresses. (Out here in Colorado, hiking-esque boots are a staple and they got to be able to do it all.) The shaft height is 8" and every time I lace 'em up and put 'em on, I feel like I'm ready to kick someone's ass... or conquer a mountain, whichever comes first. Not gonna lie, I look pretty badass in them too. Although, I'm more like a Colorado-hiking-hippie.
My favorite boot ensemble is a cropped sweater or box shirt top, high waist A-line mini cable-knit skirt, and long chunky camping socks. I typically keep the stockings scrunched down around my upper calf, just above the boot shaft. Being thigh-highs, I can easily pull them up if I need to keep my legs warm. The outfit is very comfortable, relaxed, a little feminine, yet still tomboyish, very me.
My desert part II road trip is coming up this Thanksgiving, and I think these stockings and boots will work wonderfully for the trip. For sure, I'm happy my skirt and dress love hasn't waned going into Fall/ Winter.
You'll see some of my favorite hosiery finds below and over at my Svpply.

Public wi-fi is such a wondrous thing.
Lately, I've been going through major dress and skirt cravings. Every time I go into a store, I walk out with a dress or a skirt. Every. Time.
I think one part of it is my workout routine. I feel much more in tune with my body. I've reached a point where I breath well, I have endurance, and I feel really good mentally and physically during my workout. In the past, my routines have peaked after about 3 months. I would quickly lose interest, but I've been building my routine slowly, working on a lot of different areas that really improve my mind and body all-around. It keeps me interested, which for me, is so important. I only want to continue to condition myself. All my work seems to be paying off too because I can actually say I'm beginning to love my body. Especially my legs. I never thought I would say that. Ever.
I think the other part is my hair. It's the longest it's been since I was in high school. On a whim I decided to permanently dye my hair more of an auburn color. I absolutely love it. The longer length and new color has me feeling much more feminine. I feel the urge to express that side of myself now. So more dresses and skirts it is.
Below are new arrivals at No. 6. I already have a version of the boots in black matte leather. It's such a great clog-boot. I think it can make any woman's legs look splendid. And these dresses... the lengths are superb, completely on par with tea-length skirt trends. I wish I could nab one of them. I'll probably have to look for knock-offs though as No. 6 clothes and shoes are typically very expensive.
Last image is of me and my hair. Since dying it, I've been doing a lot of no-face-hair-portraits... it's been fun. I like that I haven't taken it too seriously. I think that's also why I'm really loving the outcome of this series more. I'm excited about it. I can't wait to do more.

Silva/Bradshaw is a multi-disciplinary design studio founded in 2010 by artist/designers Matthew Bradshaw and Sergio Silva. Long time collaborators, they met while studying Industrial Design at New York's Pratt Institute. From their studio in Brooklyn they design and produce conceptually driven objects, informed by a shared passion for technology and materials. Current projects include the design and branding of a restaurant, furniture for the American manufacturer MatterMade, as well as a line of simple jewelry.
I'm pretty excited to wear jewelry from designers who attended my alma mater. If you see me wearing any jewelry, it's more than likely Silva/ Bradshaw's Circle Circle Pendant.
I love this necklace. I don't wear a lot of jewelry because I typically can't find pieces that fit my taste or that I want to wear beyond a month after purchasing.
Since buying the silver pendant, I've worn it almost every day. (Impressive for me.)
I've been eyeing some of their other pieces too. The Tools Rings, Tools Pendants, and their leva ring. It's the smooth black matte. It's simple and elegant, yet has a subtle edge that I love.
